Checking a paid AI credit purchase before retrying a job

nabwp, ai-engineer

Verify that an AI credit purchase is paid and applied to the intended service before retrying a paused job. WHMCS account funds and AI credits are separate balances, and creating an invoice does not itself add usable AI credits.

01 Review the purchase details

Open the intended service's Get more AI credits flow and confirm the selected pack, price and service. Available payment choices can include account balance, a chargeable saved card or an ordinary invoice. The options shown depend on the account and payment configuration.

02 Confirm payment and balance

  1. Complete the intended purchase through the displayed payment method.
  2. Open the resulting invoice and confirm its status is Paid.
  3. Return to the same service and refresh its AI credit display.
  4. Compare the updated balance with the purchase and any work already performed.
  5. If the job paused mid-build, use its continuation workflow rather than starting a duplicate task.
  6. If payment or credit allocation is unclear, preserve the invoice reference and ask support to investigate.

What if charging the saved card failed?

The purchase can leave an unpaid invoice that you can pay another way. Reopen that invoice instead of repeatedly creating new purchases. Do not assume a failed card message means no invoice exists.

Why does the balance change while a job is running?

Paid requests can reserve an estimated maximum cost and then settle against actual reported usage. Unused reserved credits return, and a failed request's reservation is returned. A temporary reservation is therefore different from the final cost of the completed work.

Does one paid credit equal one Engineer task?

No. Paid usage is token-based, and complex work can require several model steps. Review the displayed service balance and completed activity rather than expecting a fixed per-task charge from the pack name.

What if credits are available but the task still cannot run?

Read the message for a provider, service-permission or platform-budget issue. The module's monthly AI token cap can pause requests even when a service has paid credits. Do not purchase another pack until the actual blocker is understood. Send support the invoice ID, service and approximate time without card details or sensitive account credentials.
