Configuring a Virtualizor IP pool

servers

A Virtualizor IP pool groups authorized addresses with the network settings used when creating guests. Configure it according to the datacenter network, not an unrelated tutorial. The panel cannot route unassigned public IP space to your server.

Check access and requirements

Collect usable addresses, gateway, prefix or netmask, resolver settings, VLAN and any required virtual MAC addresses. Identify already allocated infrastructure and customer addresses. Confirm whether the node uses routed networking, a bridge or a specifically designed NAT service.

01 Configure a Virtualizor IP pool

  1. Select the correct active server in the administrator interface, then open IP Pool > Create IP Pool.
  2. Choose IPv4 or IPv6 and enter a recognizable name. Supply the actual assigned range or individual addresses without including reserved or already occupied addresses.
  3. Enter the provider-approved network values and intended DNS resolvers. Select routed or NAT options only when they match the complete host network design.
  4. For multi-node or HA use, confirm the allocation is genuinely reachable on every intended host. A shared panel association cannot make an address portable across unrelated datacenters.
  5. Save and create a disposable VPS from the pool. Inspect the generated guest addresses and routes through its console before making the pool available broadly.

Are the nameservers in this form my domain nameservers?

These values configure guest DNS resolution. They are distinct from the authoritative nameservers delegated for a hosted domain, which require a separate DNS setup.

Confirm the expected result

Test outbound IP connectivity, DNS resolution and permitted inbound access separately. Check IPv6 neighbor discovery and routes when applicable. Confirm the assigned address is marked in use and that another guest cannot receive it concurrently.

Resolve setup problems

If a guest is unreachable, compare the guest route with the provider allocation, host bridge/routing, upstream MAC policy and firewall counters. Correct the specific mismatch. Do not change a populated pool wholesale without assessing existing guests, or recycle a live IP to make a new order succeed.
