Installing Virtualizor on a supported clean virtualization host

servers

Install Virtualizor KVM on a clean, supported virtualization host when you are responsible for the infrastructure and its license. This procedure is separate from installing a website control panel inside a VPS. An ordinary shared-hosting account cannot become a hypervisor by running an installer.

Check access and requirements

Confirm hardware virtualization, a currently supported 64-bit operating system, licensing, storage design and provider network requirements. Use a dedicated clean host with independent console access. Back up anything valuable elsewhere before installation. Do not repurpose a production Plesk, cPanel or other managed host in place.

01 Install Virtualizor on a supported clean virtualization host

  1. Check the current Virtualizor KVM installation matrix and the operating-system lifecycle together. A version appearing in an old example is not sufficient evidence that it is appropriate for a new deployment.
  2. Inventory disks and interfaces. Decide which storage backend will hold guests, reserve host-system capacity and prepare the provider-approved network design. Validate the actual interface name instead of copying eth0 from an example.
  3. Review security-policy compatibility. If the selected operating system requires a policy change, obtain an explicitly supported configuration or choose another supported OS; do not indiscriminately disable protection on a populated server.
  4. Obtain the current installer from the vendor through a verified secure source. Save and inspect it before privileged execution. Use the documented KVM parameters with your real administrative email and required network/storage choices, keeping secrets out of shell history where possible.
  5. Run installation once from a reliable console or persistent administrative session. Preserve the installer log, record generated access details securely and inspect any failure before retrying. Follow the requested reboot procedure with console access available.
  6. Open the HTTPS administrator interface, normally port 4085, and verify the endpoint identity. Configure a trusted certificate, restrict administrative access to intended networks and enable available multifactor authentication.
  7. Register storage, an assigned IP pool and a supported OS template. Create a disposable VPS before connecting billing automation or accepting production provisioning. Test console access, network connectivity, restart, backup and restore.

Can I install this inside any existing VPS?

Only when the provider explicitly supports the required nested virtualization, resources and network model. A visible CPU virtualization flag alone is not a service entitlement or a guarantee that guest networking will work.

Confirm the expected result

Confirm the host boots into the intended supported kernel, KVM validation passes, and management services return after restart. Check that firewall rules expose only the required endpoints to their intended peers. Verify that your test VPS has independent credentials and that the backup is recoverable on a separate destination.

Resolve setup problems

For installation failure, inspect the exact failed stage in the protected installer log and compare OS, repository, DNS and disk prerequisites. Do not repeatedly run installation over a partly configured production machine. Rebuild a disposable failed host cleanly where appropriate, or obtain vendor guidance that preserves its state. If networking fails, recover through the independent console using the recorded original configuration.
