Checking daily AI credit renewal and unused allowances

ai-engineer, account-help

Our current hosting offer includes 5 free AI credits daily for each eligible hosting service and its relevant Engineer. The allowance renews daily. For the remaining allowance on a particular service, use the information displayed in that service's AI workspace rather than an estimate based on how many chats you remember opening.

01 Check renewal timing for the selected service

The current daily allowance follows a UTC calendar date. It refreshes for the new UTC day rather than starting a new 24-hour period when you open a chat. The daily allowance is shared across the relevant AI actions for that hosting service, and unused free usage does not accumulate into later days.

Check that you are viewing the intended hosting account and Engineer before reporting a missing allowance. A client account may contain several services, and a conversation or page belonging to one service may not describe another service's availability. The displayed free daily allowance and any additional purchased credit balance can also represent different parts of your available AI usage.

02 Plan important work around the visible allowance

For a time-sensitive change, review your available allowance before starting, agree on a limited task, and make sure an appropriate backup or staging process is ready. Avoid beginning a broad production change solely on an assumption that more free usage will appear at a particular moment.

03 Report an allowance that has not renewed as expected

If the displayed allowance has not renewed as expected, send our support team the service name, the displayed message, and the time you checked it. A screenshot is helpful if it contains no confidential information. We can investigate the account-specific position instead of asking you to repeatedly start new chats or guess at the reset rules.

04 Example: interpret the reset time from Lagos

You check an exhausted free allowance at 00:30 in Lagos and expect it to have renewed at local midnight. The service counter follows the UTC calendar day, so Lagos time is one hour ahead of that counter's date boundary.

  1. Record the selected hosting service and the time you checked it.
  2. Recognise that 00:30 in Lagos corresponds to 23:30 UTC on the preceding date.
  3. After 01:00 in Lagos, reopen the same service workspace and check the displayed allowance for the new UTC day.
  4. If it still looks inconsistent, report the service reference, displayed balance and timestamp to support.

Expected result: the reset is interpreted against 00:00 UTC. Unused free allowance from the previous day does not accumulate into a larger daily allocation.

When does the daily AI allowance reset?

  1. Use the allowance shown for the selected service, including work performed through its other WordPress AI tools.
  2. The free counter follows the UTC calendar date. The new day begins at 00:00 UTC, which may differ from your local midnight.
  3. Check the displayed allowance after the date changes before starting another task, and report a persistent discrepancy with the service and time.

Unused free requests do not accumulate into an ever-growing daily allowance. The WordPress builder and Engineer share the same service counter. A separately purchased service credit balance is different from the daily quota and should be read through its own usage and payment information.
